PPC Management Without the Guesswork

PPC management in one sentence

PPC management is the ongoing work of running paid ad campaigns across search, social and video platforms, choosing the right channels for each goal, testing creative and audiences, and optimizing spend until every dollar earns more than it costs.

Every platform claims to be the best. Meta says reach. TikTok says virality. Google says intent. LinkedIn says B2B. YouTube says attention. All of them are partly right, and none of them are enough on their own.

At LinkBooster we run paid media as a portfolio. Some campaigns build demand on social. Some capture demand on search. Some warm a retargeting audience. Some build brand with video. The right mix depends on your product, your margin and the stage of your buyer journey.

Rather than selling you one channel, we audit your funnel and show you which platforms deserve your budget, in what order, and with what creative. Then we run them properly, with clean tracking and weekly optimization.

Figure 1
No single channel wins everything. This chart shows the general trade-off between reach, intent and how specialized each platform is. Directional illustration only, real results depend on your niche, offer and creative.
Channel Selection

Which Platform For Which Goal

Different goals need different platforms. Here is how we usually allocate spend depending on what you are trying to achieve.

Demand Capture

People already searching for you

High intent, ready to buy. Usually the highest ROI starting point.

Google SearchGoogle ShoppingBing Search
Demand Generation

People who do not know you yet

Interrupt and educate. Best for building awareness and pipelines.

MetaTikTokYouTube
B2B Pipeline

Decision makers at companies

Precise targeting by role, industry and company size. Higher CPC, higher value.

LinkedIn AdsGoogle SearchYouTube
Retargeting

People already close to buying

Bring back site visitors and warm audiences. Usually the cheapest conversions.

Platform Breakdown

The Five Channels We Run

Each platform has its own psychology, creative format and measurement language. We run them properly, not generically.

M

Meta Ads

Facebook and Instagram. The widest reach in paid social.

Strongest reach

When we use it

Meta is our default choice for direct response e-commerce, app installs, lead generation and retargeting. It works best when you have margin to test many creatives and a clear offer to sell.

  • Cold traffic campaigns and lookalike audiences
  • Retargeting and abandoned cart recovery
  • Reels, Stories and Advantage+ placements
  • Dynamic product ads for e-commerce

What to expect

Strong scale potential once creative hits. Creative is the biggest lever. Pixel and Conversions API health decide how well the algorithm learns.

  • Fast learning phase, usually 7 to 14 days
  • Weekly creative rotation needed to stay fresh
  • ROAS varies by margin, usually strongest with retargeting
  • Cost per result drops as account data accumulates
3B+Monthly active users
10M+Businesses advertising
15-30Creatives per month typical
T

TikTok Ads

Short form video. The fastest route to virality in paid media.

Best for younger audiences

When we use it

TikTok works when your product can be shown in motion, is visually interesting, and speaks to a younger or trend aware audience. Also strong for app installs and DTC brands.

  • Spark Ads from organic creator content
  • In-Feed ads and TikTok Shop integration
  • TopView and branded hashtag challenges
  • Catalog and dynamic product ads

What to expect

Cheaper reach than most platforms, but creative has to feel native. Polished ad style underperforms. Native, fast and authentic wins. Volume of tests matters more than polish.

  • Very low CPM compared to Meta
  • Fast testing cycles, often 10 to 20 creatives weekly
  • Best results with UGC or creator style ads
  • Great for top-of-funnel awareness and demand gen
1B+Monthly active users
LowCPM vs other platforms
ShortCreative lifespan
G

Google Ads

Search, Shopping, Performance Max, Display and Demand Gen.

Highest intent

When we use it

Google is where people go when they already want something. If demand exists for your category, Google Search and Shopping are almost always the first place we look for fast, measurable return.

  • Search campaigns for high intent keywords
  • Shopping ads for e-commerce and retail
  • Performance Max for full funnel automation
  • Demand Gen for YouTube, Discover and Gmail
  • Display and YouTube retargeting

What to expect

Higher CPC than social, but usually lower cost per purchase because the intent is already there. Quality Score and landing page experience matter a lot. Conversion tracking must be clean.

  • Fastest channel for direct response revenue
  • Higher CPC but usually higher conversion rate
  • Performance Max can absorb a lot of budget once fed clean data
  • Search and Shopping work best together
HighBuyer intent
FastTime to first conversion

LI

LinkedIn Ads

Target by job title, company size, industry and seniority.

Best for B2B

When we use it

LinkedIn is expensive per click and that is fine, because the people seeing your ad are the ones who can actually sign a contract. Used for SaaS, agencies, consulting, enterprise and high-ticket B2B.

  • Sponsored content in the feed
  • Message ads and conversation ads
  • Document ads for lead magnets
  • Lead gen forms with pre-filled data

What to expect

Smaller reach, higher CPC, but higher quality leads. Success depends on tight targeting, strong offer and follow up speed. Not the channel for broad consumer products.

  • CPCs often 3 to 6 times higher than Meta
  • Lead quality can be the best of any paid channel
  • Best with gated assets and clear value propositions
  • Pairs well with ABM style campaigns
1B+Members worldwide
HighCPC, high lead quality
B2BPrimary focus
YT

YouTube Ads

Video ads across YouTube, Shorts, TV screens and partner sites.

Best for attention

When we use it

YouTube is where attention still exists in video form. Strong for brand building, product launches, longer form education and retargeting people who already know you. Runs through Google Ads.

  • Skippable in-stream ads
  • Non-skippable and bumper ads
  • YouTube Shorts ads
  • In-feed video ads
  • Connected TV and YouTube TV placements

What to expect

You are paying for attention, not for clicks. Best evaluated on branded search lift, view through conversions and pipeline, not only on direct response. First 5 seconds decide everything.

  • Very cost effective for reach at scale
  • Works especially well combined with Search
  • Retargeting audiences are usually cheapest conversions
  • Creative quality directly drives performance

Account Flow

How a Managed Account Actually Runs

From first audit to monthly reporting, this is the loop we run on every PPC project.

Measurement

What We Track Across Every PPC Channel

Clicks and impressions do not pay the bills. Here is the scorecard we use to tell whether paid media is actually growing your business.

Figure 3
What our PPC reporting focuses on. Revenue and ROAS lead, cost per result comes next, then quality, then reach and CTR as diagnostics. Platforms come and go, this scorecard does not.
  • Return on ad spend (ROAS) at account, channel and campaign level.
  • Cost per lead, cost per purchase and cost per qualified pipeline.
  • Lead or purchase quality, connected back to your CRM or store.
  • Creative performance ranking, showing which assets carry the account.
  • Audience and placement breakdowns, so budget follows winning combinations.
  • Blended metrics across channels, so you see the whole picture, not one slice.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions About PPC

Which PPC platform should I start with?

It depends on your product and audience. Most e-commerce and direct response brands start with Google Search and Shopping because the intent is already there. B2B brands often start with Google Search and LinkedIn. Consumer brands with strong visual products often start with Meta. TikTok and YouTube are added as reach channels once the core is profitable.

How much budget do I need for PPC?

There is no single number, but most small and mid sized brands see reliable data starting around $1,000 to $3,000 per month in total ad spend, spread across the channels that matter for them. Smaller budgets can work, but they limit how fast you can test and scale.

How long until I see results?

Google Search often shows results within the first two weeks because the intent is high. Meta and TikTok usually need 2 to 4 weeks of testing to find winning creatives. LinkedIn typically takes 30 to 45 days to produce consistent quality leads. Scaling a profitable account usually takes 60 to 90 days.

Do you produce the ad creative across all channels?

Yes. We produce static ads, carousels, video ads, Reels and TikTok shorts, ad copy and headlines. Each channel gets creatives built for its format and audience, not reused from one platform to another.

How do you decide the budget split between channels?

We start with a channel plan based on your goals, then allocate budget with a test frame: some for the channel that captures existing demand, some for a channel that generates new demand, and a smaller portion for retargeting. As results come in, we shift spend toward the best blended return.

Can you work with my existing ad accounts?

Yes. We can take over existing Meta, Google, TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube accounts. In most cases we clean up tracking first, then restructure campaigns and creative before touching budgets.

How do you handle tracking after iOS and privacy changes?

We use server side tracking where possible, configure Conversions API alongside the Pixel, verify domain setup, and rely on aggregated event modeling across platforms. This keeps attribution as accurate as the current landscape allows.
